How much should I expect to pay to have my cat's 2 teeth pulled?

My cat has neck lesions and needs 2 teeth pulled, one being a canine which the vet said is a tricky tooth. Please tell me what is a reasonable cost to expect including all the anestictic, x-rays, IV fluid, etc.

How much should I expect to pay to have my cat's 2 teeth pulled?
Your vet should be able to give you a full list of cost estimates before the procedures. I had my cat's teeth cleaned several months ago. He has a broken canine tooth and the vet had to clean his teeth to make a determination as to whether they could save the tooth.

Believe me, it's not cheap. Here was the cost breakdown, just for the cleaning:

Chemical Profile (blood work, I think) $65.00

Anesthesia $75.00

Anesthesia maintenance unit $59.00

Dental Prophylaxis $60.00

Ultra Sonic Scaling of teeth $17.00

Polishing with fluoride $44.00

Day hospitalization for cat $33.00

Advanced anesthesia monitoring $40.00

I rounded all of the charges up to the nearest dollar, but the cleaning was over $360.00. The oral surgery estimate that they gave me (in case they had to fill or pull teeth was anywhere from $33-99.00....I'm glad they were so vague...)

If you love your cat though and want him to be around...you should do it. Ask your vet about all of the estimated charges ahead of time and see if there is any way you can do a payment plan if at all possible. It doesn't hurt to ask.

Good luck with your kitty.
Reply:Whatever it is, I am sure it will be too much.
Reply:ask the vet!
Reply:Oh I'm not sure 'right off but i know its kind of costly.

Ask your Vet BEFORE they do the surgery on Kitty's teeth if all possible could you set up a monthly payment?

Depending on how much you can give them a monthly ?Like $20,or $50 or whatever you can do til its paid off!

However don't let them to pressure you into a payment that is way out of your reach!!

Say you hate to see the Kitty's suffer because you don't have the money up front!

Hope Kitty gets well soon!

Lord bless ya for taking such good care of her.

Is Kitty spayed yet??

ps all vets cost are differnet but i would say atleast $anywhere from $600-$900 may be more or less!
Reply:FYI just have all her teeth pulled at once, cheaper in the long run, lesions are chronic and she can eat just fine without her teeth, yes even kibble
