What should I expect from a canine (eyetooth) extraction?

I just had my upper canine tooth extracted today...still numb =) I was wondering what I should expect in terms of pain and healing time. The tooth was pushed almost entirely above my other teeth, and I had it removed so I could get Invisalign next week, which will close the small gap left from the extraction. I%26#039;ve never had a tooth extraction before, so I%26#039;m not sure what to expect (most of the literature out there is on wisdom teeth extraction)...any advice would be great!

A couple years ago, i got 9 teeth pulled in preparation for braces. And two were my canine teeth. And even though i had more teeth pulled then you had, i still only hurt for a few days, so you should be fine within a couple of days. The pain isn%26#039;t that bad, aspirin helps a lot. And you will be numb for the rest of the day.
Reply:I had one of mine pulled, and really..just the first day or two after it, I was only a bit sore. Aspirin takes it pretty much away.

You%26#039;ll probaly be numb most of the day though.
Reply:There wont be a whole lot of pain if you take your pain pills. Not gonna lie, it will hurt, but not so bad if the drugs kick in in time.
Reply:trust me it wasnt a good idea to get ur kanine tooth pulled out

ur kanine is the strongest tooth in ur mouth
