http://allpetsdentalcare.com/dentalimage...

My dog has this as well as two teeth at the very front on the top jaw that are retainied. I want to know has anyone not removed them or should i without a thought. I ask this because all his teeth sit perfectly, none out of place or line...hes a 7 month purebreed toy poodle and i only noticed this yesterday.

Retainied puppy canine tooth!!!!?
Toy Poodles has this, a lot. You need to take him to the Vet %26amp; have it pulled, so that the teeth will straighten up %26amp; not grow crooked. The VET will pull however many that needs to be thinned-out. As I said, this is a common occurrence for the toy poodles, for I have had them for years.
Reply:Go to the vet.
Reply:Has he been neutered? If not when you take him in for the operation they%26#039;ll pull them while he%26#039;s under the anesthetics.

Add: Great he%26#039;s purebred. So are a lot of the dogs in the shelters...

Reply:You don%26#039;t seem to want the obvious answer? Do you want people to say, %26#039;don%26#039;t worry, it will be okay if you leave them in%26#039;?

You can leave them in, but you run the risk of them becoming abscessed/infected. Plus you can%26#039;t breed or show your %26#039;purebred%26#039; if he has teeth that are retained. So sorry, if you don%26#039;t want to go to the Vet to have them pulled, then don%26#039;t ask this question!? and %26#039;Derr%26#039; don%26#039;t be rude to people who are trying to help you out!
Reply:I have a PUREBREED toy poodle as well, and I got him neutered because it%26#039;s the responsible thing to do. Purebred dosen%26#039;t mean show worthy or breed worthy, just so you know...

Retained baby teeth can cause issues in the future with teeth rubbing on each other. And having 2 teeth in the same %26quot;socket%26quot; can cause your dog pain and discomfort. Better to get them pulled to spare your dog the possibility. Plus if you show you won%26#039;t be able to walk in the door with retained teeth.
Reply:What was your real question? And don%26#039;t expect any dog owner to feel sorry for you for having to spend more on Vet bills that on what you paid for a purebred.
