Impacted canine tooth?

do i need braces if i have an impacted canine tooth and will it hurt?

Impacted canine tooth?
It%26#039;s your best solution. Normally an oral sugeon will expose the crown of the tooth and attach a bracket and a tiny chain to the crown. The orthodontist will put braces on the rest of your teeth and connect the chain to the braces. He can then slowly move the canine into the correct position. Pain? Well, for the surgery you%26#039;ll be under a general anaesthetic, and it will be a bit sore afterwards but quite bearable. Braces are a minor discomfort.

If you don%26#039;t move the canine into position, then it will become permanently fixed in place after about the age of 23yo. The baby canine might stay there for some years, but not many survive after you%26#039;re 40yo. Then you will have a gap that you will want to fill in. Not easy at all.

Go the better way with braces - it%26#039;s the best long-term investment, and you%26#039;ll be happier with a nice smile.
Reply:Maybe and maybe not. See your dentist. You should get second opinions too.
