My puppy is 7 months old and has yet to lose her top baby canine teeth.?

The adult canines are in and the baby (very pointy) ones are still (very tightly) behind them. I checked and they don%26#039;t seem to be getting loose at all. Should I wait a bit, just leave them or take her to the vet to get them removed?

More good chew toys...in the wild she would have been chewing on bones and hides by now making the milk teeth fall out.
Reply:the new teeth will push them out, it just takes a while. And yes, dogs lose their teeth just like humans.

I am raising 2 labradors, both exactly the same age. One lost her baby teeth weeks before the other.
Reply:I%26#039;d take her to the vets and have them removed. They are going to allow her adult teeth to be misaligned and cause bite problems for her later.

It is simple thing for your vet to do and your dog will be much more comfortable eating too.
Reply:a good idea to have them removed, your dog will feel better afterwards, then you won%26#039;t have to worry. there was another girl who had this question a few days ago, you could see her responses on here too.
Reply:give me a thumbs up %26amp; best answer!!

Here thers alot a ways...

go to a vet to see

do it your self and maybe know it

ask relatives

alot!!

VET!
Reply:They are normally removed when you have them spayed/neutered unless the adult teeth have still not came in enough at that point. In that case they do them a little later. This was the case for one of mine. They were removed when he was about a year old.
Reply:If the teeth are not bothering her or her eating then just leave them. I have a 6 pound Toy Chihuahua that I took to my regular vet and he said they are fine-disbelieving I got a second opinion from another vet and he said to pull them at a cost of almost $300-my Chi has double teeth on the top and bottom. Since they don%26#039;t bother him I have decided to leave them rather than risk putting him under and infection etc.
Reply:no problems......let the teeth remain.... its a common problem......i%26#039;ve seen so many dogs with 4 cannines in my hospital....its infact an advantage for the dog......DONT get them removed......that may worsen the situation.....it even losens the gums making the adult cannines weak!!!! so please dont get them removed....... its a great advantage to have more cannines....unless its pushing the incisors or the molars!!....

this works!!!!

All the best
Reply:I would suggest you take your puppy to a vet. If you want to do it yourself then I can suggest you a site which covers all the health problems of dogs from birth onwards written by experts covering all common dog health remedies. http://clocks.110mb.com/doghealth.html
Reply:Most people would leave it, but really the best thing to do is have them removed. Retained baby teeth cause problems for the adult teeth - they make them grow slightly wrong, causing problems with the dog%26#039;s dental conformation.

Is the dog spayed yet? If not, book her in to spayed because this is an excellent time to get retained teeth removed; getting two birds with one stone as it were! Also a good time to get any umbilical hernias repaired.
