My Maltipoo is loosing his teeth...is that suppose to happen?

MY MALTIPOO IS 4 MONTHS AND HE LOST HIS BACK TOOTH LAST WEEK. YESTERDAY HE LOST HIS BOTTOM CANINE....IS THAT NORMAL?

Yea, it's normal. My pup is 4 months too, and has two loose front puppy teeth with the adult teeth behind them as I type! lol





Losing the back ones first seems a little strange though. Maybe he's already lost some of the front ones, and you hadn't noticed? Have you ever noticed a bit of blood on a chew toy? Usually that's a good sign that he's got another tooth coming in, or that he's lost another tooth. It's no big deal. Just make sure he's got plenty of toys to chew on, so he can knock them out himself. They also make ice or cold teething toys just like a baby's teething ring, for those times when teething is painful to the pup.





Oh yea, and be careful where you step with a teething pup - Those tiny lost puppy teeth are murder to step on! lol

Reply:its normal. cats, dogs ,just like humans, lose their baby teeth and grow adult teeth.
Reply:It is pretty normal for a dog to lose his/her teeth.
