Full quote is: "Dog sir?" "Uh,not now" "You can enjoy a good dog every once in a while sir. You can have a 3 course meal from one dog. Start with your Canine Coup d'etat go to your Fido plum bake blancmange. For desert a Pekinese par bake and you can pick your teeth with a little paw"
I cant find this in the dictionaries of quotations. Can anyone help with this and give me a reference please?
Thanks,Brian.
The film "Dead Poet's Society",Robin Williams, had a quote "Dog ..Canine coup d'etat" please see details
I believe the "dog, sir?" quote is from The merchant of Venice. I can't be 100% sure without scanning the play again, but I believe it is Shylock speaking to someone in the courtroom. Try that play before you go to far elsewhere.
Reply:tongue in cheek

Reply:I think you will find most of these recipes and (and many others) in any of many North Korean cook books, available at your local book sellers at a very reasonable price I'm sure.
P.S. What ever you do , don't let the local "Animal Rights" people find out what you've been eating! I'll stick to corned dog.
Bye.
Reply:Why R U after dogs? May be the dead poets liked the dish but U R not dead yet!
Reply:A little mustard can go a long way,a long way.
