I am going to the dentist for the first time in about 10 years, i have bad teeth, but i was wondering what....

the dentist will do about very minor small decay on the canines/premolars, its very minor on them teeth so im wondering what the dentist would do there.

expect x-rays so that the dentist can see how far the decay goes in the teeth. The dentist will do a full exam of all your teeth, poking them and using a mirror to look at them from every angle. You will be rescheduled for fillings. Don't worry it won't be bad. You'll probably get a cleaning too, which is good and you need it!
Reply:It depends on how deep the decay is. It may seem minor to you, but if you havent been for 10 years it may run deeper then you think (although if you dont feel any pain i would not worry about it being too deep, deep enough for a root canal anyway)

Probably just some novicane and you wont even feel the drilling/filling of it all.

If you are really nervous (like me, i avoided teh dentist for about 5 years... then i couldnt take the pain of my toothaches anymore so i went) make sure your dentist has "laughing gas" or whatever its called. I really cant even have my teeth cleaned without it, i think i have a severe dentist phobia
