Is it unusual that my son is getting all four of his front top teeth at the same time?

He's had the two front on the bottom since he was four months old, now he's seven ½ months and he's getting all four front top teeth at the same time. The canines started coming in first, and then the two in the middle. :/ Is this a usual thing, or is my son just a little weirdo. :P jk

Kid's vary a ton on when and what teeth erupt, but no, it doesn't seem unusual.

I also like the point that another answerer made about being aware of his drinking and fluid output, you don't want him to get dehydrated. Consider taking him to the dentist for a quick check at some point. It is recommended that children see a dentist quite young in order to make sure everything is normal and also to answer any questions you might have as a parent. Most children go in at a little older age, say 2 or so (providing that haven't had any trauma) based on what I have seen in my 15 years as a hygienist. Hope that helps!

Reply:no, not unusual at all..my child got his 2 tooth on top and four teeth on bottom when he hit his 7th month.. shows good signs of calcium... he is ready for some kind of FOOD!
Reply:i had to answer this question. my second son got all 4 teeth at the same time. major problem though. he ate fine but because his little gums were so sore cutting all four teeth at one time it was hard for him to suck his bottle and he became dehydrated so bad that he required hospitalization. be sure baby is drinking alot and if his little face looks funny, like dark circles under his eyes or if his stomachs looks sucked in or if you see he is not urinating as much as usual or drinking as much as usual, take him to the doctor at once. now that i am a nurse i know all these things. i did not know this when i was 22. my first son never had any problems and cut 1-2 teeth at a time. my second cut all 4 and he was a happy jolly little guy who really didnt cry. if he did i would;ve put a little anbesol or something on his little gums. be very aware how much he is drinking and urinating. babies are made up of alot of fluid and they dehydrate very quickly. when they get sick they go downhill fast and hard.
