I have a painful canine tooth that won't come out?

It's still a baby tooth and it won't come out, but it is very loose. I've tried everything, eating an apple, grabbing on it with a tissue, and just pulling it with my fingers. What can I do to make it come out without killing myself? (Lol, slight exaggeration, but the pain is unbearable, so how to get it out with minimum pain?)

constantly wiggle it and push it to its limit with your tounge, and tomorrow morning just pull with a paper towel. it wont hurt as much as you think
Reply:make an appointment with the dentist. treat the pain with advil or tylenol and ice.
Reply:Go to the dentist...but in the mean time take ibuprophen or some aspirin...something to releave the PAIN...i hate pain...
Reply:Grab it with a cold wet wash cloth (sorta numbing the pain)

and just keep twisting it to break away the roots.
Reply:drink cold water, then use plillers and remove it in one hard firm pull. Down and left and right and down again. twice will do it.

more cold water to rinse and then rest.
Reply:well put tons of ice around it (to make it somewhat numb)...take a tylonal 5 mins before and yank with vice grips.

um...or just be patient....
Reply:Take a teaspoon or 2 of salt and dissolve it in a coffee cup of very warm water. Swish it and then hold it on that area for like 5-10 minutes each time, then spit out. The salt water helps dull the pain normally, and sometimes will even help it fall out on it's own. Also take ibuprofen for pain, or plain ol' aspirin. Excedrin is also good for tooth pain, but just one or the other on the pills.
Reply:It hurts really bad, I have the same exact thing right now! (Except I just want mine to stay in so I don't have a gap.. Keek.)

But Orajel Gel helps a lot! Motrin never really worked for me, but try it out. Try massaging the gums above that, it could just be the tooth pushing down. If you're desperate to have it come out, get a dry dishtowel. A tissue doesn't have enough body, and becomes wet anyways.

Lift your upper lip, and let the tooth dry first. Then grab a dishtowel, and pinch your tooth with it. (Between your pointer and thumb.) This always worked when I was a child. Keep constant pressure on it. If pulling it out with a rag didn't work, then try biting it.

But the best thing you can do is keep that orajel on it. It's specifically made for cavities or sensitive nerves, but I'm guessing loose teeth will work just as well. Get the small tube if you don't have any already. It's a lifesaver.
