Does the loss of a left canine tooth, with a new one appearing, indicate that my cat will come into heat soon?

it just means that your cat has lost a baby tooth and a new one is coming in....it doesn't indicate a heat cycle going to start. you should get your cat spayed at 5-7 months.

No, but it is a sign that you are a person who cares way too much about their animals. That concern is much better spent on people than mongrels.
Reply:Only if it is female. This just means that she is growing up and you migh twant to keep her in the house for a few weeks and make sure she is not in heat.
Reply:no connection
Reply:No dude it doesnt mean that it just means you cat is getting a new tooth!
Reply:how old is your cat? they usually are around 6 months old before they come into heat, if its a kitten its just losing its baby teeth. when your cat comes into heat you'll know it they will meow like crazy and rub up against everything
Reply:kind of. not in a cause %26amp; effect way, but in that it tells you she is maturing. both things happen at roughly the same time.

it means she's getting to the age where her adult teeth are coming in - usually between 5-8 mos - which happens to coincide with them also reaching sexual maturity as well. they generally go into heat for the first time between 6-10 mos. so i'd say yes, her heat will come soon.

keep her away from other cats or, better yet, get her spayed so she doesn't add to the pet over-population problem. it's a very real problem (i have had to euthanize litter after litter because there simply aren't enough homes for them all) and the only solution is for people to not let their pets breed indiscriminately. plus she'll probably lead a happier, healthier and longer life if fixed. (lord knows, you'll be happier...there are few things more obnoxious than a female cat in season.)
Reply:nope, just means she's getting a new tooth.
Reply:no
Reply:No, it means that your cat has lost a baby tooth and a permanant (adult tooth) one is growing in.
Reply:Female cat can be spayed at around 6 months old. Make the appointment and have her spayed. That is the responsible pet owners thing to do. World if full of unwanted pets, don't bring more. Also don't forget to have her vaccinated.
Reply:I don't think so. Just means she's losing a baby tooth and getting her adult canine.
