I am getting braces. I have a baby tooth in my mouth %26amp; the impacted adult tooth is above it in the gums. I have to go to an oral surgeon %26amp; have them cut into my gums %26amp; attach a gold chain to it to then attach to my braces. Anyone know the cost for such a procedure? %26amp; if you have done it yourself how was the pain?

That sounds slightly strange, but of course i can't see the situation since you can't exactly post a picture. I would imagine the easier procedure would be to remove your baby tooth, let the adult settle slightly and then pull it inline with the other teeth slowly through your orthodontic treatments.
Reply:Hey that sounds exactly the same to what i have to do (i got my baby canine teeth pulled over a year and 3 months ago) and they still haven't came in so i'm going to have to get my gums cut open and attach the chain to my braces! Was it very painful? Report It
Reply:No, it wasn't painful at all. I had oral sedation so I was not asleep but I was sedated enough that I did not care what was going on. It has been 3 months since %26amp; the orthodontist said it is about to come down. Now I can see more %26amp; more of the tooth. Report It
