go do what you need to do
Reply:I'm not going to sugar coat it nor am I going to frighten you with my own story.

Unfortunately it's a way of life, however new dental procedures are making impacted surgeries easier than they were when I had mine removed---count yourself lucky.

Go prepared, eat light, swab plenty of vaseline around the corners of your mouth before and after. Make sure the dentist gives you an anti-biotic and a GOOD pain killer for afterwards. Drink plenty of fluids and change the guaze as indicated, don't chew on that side for 12 hours after surgery, and don't chew anything heavy for 24 hours after that. Have plenty of ice chips at home to have something cool to keep the swelling down.
Reply:general dentists and Otho's like to refer u out although they train this is dental school they don't want to deal with it they need certain instruments for surgery and a lot of time and anesthesia.. sometimes they can break off at gum line then they got to dig out hard so oral surgeons is best they have more stuff to do it.. i worked for ortho Dr.. plan on 150 - 200 a tooth
Reply:get it done. it sounds worse than it is

Is it unusual for someone to still have a deciduous (baby) tooth in their fifties-it is their canine tooth,?

so what would be the best thing to do when it does come out?

Is it unusual for someone to still have a deciduous (baby) tooth in their fifties-it is their canine tooth,?
It's unusual, but I have maybe a dozen over fifty in my practice who still have a baby tooth. Depending on where it is and how much you want to spend, there are several ways to replace a missing tooth. For a single tooth in the front of MY mouth, I'd sure consider getting an implant first. The only thing is, you'd have to be sure that the permanent cuspid was not still up there in a position that would hinder getting the implant placed. If it is, you would have to either have it removed or consider other options for replacement. Who knows? If the permanent cuspid is still up there, MAYBE you could even see an orthodontist and oral surgeon and have that tooth brought into proper position.
Reply:No it does happen my sister's a Dentist. It is rare through.
Reply:It's not unusual to not lose a baby tooth or two. I still have one, and it's because there never existed an adult tooth behind it to push it out. Just wasn't there. That's probably what you're dealing with. That or the adult tooth behind it got impacted somehow and isn't coming out. If that were the case though, chances are you'd have a lot more pain, and your teeth might be chaotically dispersed. Just go to your dentist (I know how much you'd love to), and ask him to x-ray it. That'll be definitive.
Reply:it can happen i would get it taken out if bothering you

I'm getting braces soon.....but have to get impacted canine tooth removed first...please help me?

please let me know your own personal experience on this matter

thanks a lot

I'm getting braces soon.....but have to get impacted canine tooth removed first...please help me?
I had the same problem. I actually had 4 teeth removed. Braces can be very painful when they're tightened and can be frustrating. But worth it when the result is straighter teeth.
Reply:Hi. Before I got my braces on, my dentist noticed that I had 2 impacted wisdom teeth and 1 impacted molar. Before actually getting the braces on, my orthodontist had an oral surgeon remove the impacted wisdom teeth, but left the molar alone. With time, the molar started coming out on it's own very little by little, but it was sideways, pushing against my first molar. So, now, after having my braces for almost 3 years, my orthodontist decided to attach a bracket onto my 2nd molar becuause there's enough open area on the molar for a bracket. It's been about 4 months that I've had the bracket on the once-impacted molar and now it's looking much better: instead of sitting sideways pushing against my 1st molar, it's sitting sideways, and in a matter of 2 or 3 months, it'll sit upright, just like my other teeth. Your situation is the same but with a canine. It'll be fine once you get your braces on.

Whenever I take a sip of somthing my right canine tooth really hurts. What is wrong and what should I do?

I have these sensitive teeth sometimes, too. It's a possibility that the tooth covering could be wearing thin, thus making it sensitive. Or it could be something else... To make sure, I'd talk to the dentist.

Whenever I take a sip of somthing my right canine tooth really hurts. What is wrong and what should I do?
I bet you have a cavity. When you drink something, it is probably aggravating a nerve. I would go see a dentist.
Reply:Sounds like ther's an exposed nerve and you should get a filling.
Reply:Sounds like you have a problem with the nerve in that tooth. See a dentist.
Reply:'Sounds like maybe a cavity or an exposed nerve. I would get to a dentist asap.
Reply:sounds like a cavity to me. Go to a dentist.
Reply:Is it when you drink something cold or hot? If so try sensodyne toothpaste. It works everytime.
Reply:It could be a cavity or maybe gum disease is occurring in that area. Look at the tooth and that gum area in a mirror. If it really bugs you, you need to see a dentist.
Reply:sounds like you have an exposed nerve, best to go to the dentist and not prolong it the longer you wait the more damage it will do to your tooth
Reply:Do you have cavity in it? Is it broken? You have a nerve that is exposed it sounds like. If it does not hurt when cold is not present then see your dentist soon. If it hurts all of the time you can go to the drug store and get some oil of cloves that can be placed on the opening (Cavity) and that will give you temporary relief. But, see your dentist soon.
Reply:sounds like a cavity to me. Tell your dentist.
Reply:you probably have a cavity
Reply:actually there could be several causes of the sensitivity,

yes a cavity could cause sensitivity, but also it could be that some of your enamel has worn away, or you might have a small crack in your tooth.

if it is senstive to cold and sweet it could be one of the above, and your nerve probably isn't exposed.

If you had a look at the layers that make up your tooth, you have a thin shell of enamel on the outside then the next layer is called dentin which is very porous

anything sweet or cold that touches dentin will be transfered through the little pores in it to the nerve and it will make your tooth quite sensitive.

So anything that exposes dentine, such as the enamel layer wearing away from brushing too hard, acidic erosion from stuff like coke and lemon juice, exposure of dentine by decay, or fillings which allow fluid to leak to the dentine layer, will cause sensitivity.

if your nerve was actually exposed your tooth would most likely die and you would have a different sort of pain.

if it is more sensitive to hot mainly, then it could be infection but not necessarily.

get a dentist to have a look at it, but if its just a bit worn, sensodyne will probably help.

What can one do if they lost their canine tooth and the bone in the area is not sufficient for either an?

implant or a bridge?

What can one do if they lost their canine tooth and the bone in the area is not sufficient for either an?
There is almost no situation that I can think of where there would not sufficient bone for a conventional bridge. Unless you mean the bone on the remaining adjacent teeth is in bad condition... THAT's a problem! If that's what you mean, it may be time to start talking about a "transitional partial denture" made all of acrylic.

Dr. Tom is right, though. If you have that much information, someone who has actually seen your mouth also is in the best position to give you treatment advice.
Reply:Live without it. It makes for a cool hole to squirt water through.

http://www.phigmentphilms.com
Reply:A bone graft (surgically place bone in that area) would do the trick, then you can have the option to choose either treatment you want. Of course you will need to see a specialist though.
Reply:If you have already been told that the bone is insufficient, then you surely must have also been told what your treatment options are.

What do you do for a decayed canine tooth?

Call your vet, make an appointment for an extraction. Might as well have the rest of the teeth cleaned while you are at it.

What do you do for a decayed canine tooth?
Go to the dentist.
Reply:You go to the vet, part with several hundred

dollars, and keep on loving your dog!
Reply:depends how far the decay is and how much of the tooth is left after decay removal
Reply:Throw it away already! No need to keep something that long to remind you of your pet.

lol

OH! Still in the dog's mouth??? Take doggie to vet or pets dentist.

Is it yours? Go to a dentist.
Reply:Go to the vet and have it pulled.
Reply:The vet's can pull it-it's not that expensive and it would make your dog feel better in the end! We did it for our kitty cat and she looks at me and I swear she was like "thank you mommy!"
Reply:Is the do on wet or dry food? well you go to the vet and show him and they can clean them or will give you a plan to stop the decaying tooth.
Reply:Go to dentist hope you can get a root canal to save if not a crown or implant or partial denture
Reply:go to the dentist so they can fix it
Reply:About the only thing you can do is take him to the vet. They can put him under anesthesia and check and clean his teeth, and if the tooth is bad, they will remove it. Have it done, because you know how bad a tooth ache is. Don't let him suffer needlessly.
Reply:have the vet extract it...has to be under ...and if not done like humans it will get worse and painful and can become absessed and get an infection up in the brain and die from it..humans too

I am 24 years old i had a baby canine tooth that fell. When will the permanent tooth grow ?How long will ittake

well the canian tooth should be replace at the age of 12 that's the noremal but it may be delayed if some thing is priventing it to from being able to erupt ... so you are saying your age is 24 so it's too late BUT you said that your deciduase(baby) tooth had fell .. so this maybe the cauose that previent the permenant one to erupt all you have to do now is to go and do an X-ray image to see if you already have the permenant one or not .. if yes the dentist will figer the best way to bring it down .. if not there is allots of choises you have to replace this missing tooth .. i hope that my answer helped you somehow

I am 24 years old i had a baby canine tooth that fell. When will the permanent tooth grow ?How long will ittake
Teeth you lose at 24 are not replaced.
Reply:If your baby teeth never fell out when you were like 4-5 yrs old, I don't know if you can grow more at 24....you should go talk to a dentist.
Reply:You may not have a permanent tooth there.Or it could be in a awkward position, that needs help and the help would be braces. If it hasn't pushed it's way out by now, there must be a reason why. So,see a dentist. They will take an x-ray and let you know what's going on.

Jack russel terrier do they normally lose there baby teeth and if so around what age?

we are baby sitting my daughters jack russel terrier and he lost a canine tooth playing tug of war is this normal

Jack russel terrier do they normally lose there baby teeth and if so around what age?
More than likely it is normal. If it is still a pup it is even to be expected.
Reply:All dogs start losing their puppy teeth when they are about 4 months old and the second set will be noticeable right away. Playing tugg games at that age will not hurt them but probably make them come out quicker

Does the loss of a left canine tooth, with a new one appearing, indicate that my cat will come into heat soon?

it just means that your cat has lost a baby tooth and a new one is coming in....it doesn't indicate a heat cycle going to start. you should get your cat spayed at 5-7 months.

Does the loss of a left canine tooth, with a new one appearing, indicate that my cat will come into heat soon?
No, but it is a sign that you are a person who cares way too much about their animals. That concern is much better spent on people than mongrels.
Reply:Only if it is female. This just means that she is growing up and you migh twant to keep her in the house for a few weeks and make sure she is not in heat.
Reply:no connection
Reply:No dude it doesnt mean that it just means you cat is getting a new tooth!
Reply:how old is your cat? they usually are around 6 months old before they come into heat, if its a kitten its just losing its baby teeth. when your cat comes into heat you'll know it they will meow like crazy and rub up against everything
Reply:kind of. not in a cause %26amp; effect way, but in that it tells you she is maturing. both things happen at roughly the same time.

it means she's getting to the age where her adult teeth are coming in - usually between 5-8 mos - which happens to coincide with them also reaching sexual maturity as well. they generally go into heat for the first time between 6-10 mos. so i'd say yes, her heat will come soon.

keep her away from other cats or, better yet, get her spayed so she doesn't add to the pet over-population problem. it's a very real problem (i have had to euthanize litter after litter because there simply aren't enough homes for them all) and the only solution is for people to not let their pets breed indiscriminately. plus she'll probably lead a happier, healthier and longer life if fixed. (lord knows, you'll be happier...there are few things more obnoxious than a female cat in season.)
Reply:nope, just means she's getting a new tooth.
Reply:no
Reply:No, it means that your cat has lost a baby tooth and a permanant (adult tooth) one is growing in.
Reply:Female cat can be spayed at around 6 months old. Make the appointment and have her spayed. That is the responsible pet owners thing to do. World if full of unwanted pets, don't bring more. Also don't forget to have her vaccinated.
Reply:I don't think so. Just means she's losing a baby tooth and getting her adult canine.

The dentist extract my daughter canine tooth, she's 10 years old, I want to know if another will come out ?

You can't ask the Dentist yourself? They would have the best answer, minus the points!

The dentist extract my daughter canine tooth, she's 10 years old, I want to know if another will come out ?
The answer is yes. If it is a baby tooth she will grow in another canine. Otherwise, there are other options that your dentist can discuss with you like reshaping a bicuspid. I do not know your daughters current condition, so it is hard to tell you what is going on in your dentists head.
Reply:Seenotes deserves to win the points, but just for clarification, at 10 years old this would've been a baby canine. An adult canine won't come in till later, and they're LONG teeth. If it had been an adult tooth, your daughter would've had a hard time of it.

My dog chipped her baby canine tooth she is only about 8 weeks old what should i do? wat can happen?

will it effect her in later life??

My dog chipped her baby canine tooth she is only about 8 weeks old what should i do? wat can happen?
All her baby teeth anyway will be gone anyway in a few months. Her adult teeth will be fine. Unless you think she's hurting and should go to the vets, if not she should be okay;^)
Reply:Leave it alone. It will fall out around 4 to 5 months of age and be replaced with an adult tooth.
Reply:take her or him to the vet, they will decide something
Reply:No effects. In a month or so the chipped tooth will fall out, and her adult tooth will come in undamaged.

Have fun with your puppy!
Reply:Probably nothing, that tooth will fall out by six months of age. If the chip is deep, down to the tooth pulp, you'll need to have it extracted at the vet's before then. Have it checked at her next puppy visit.
Reply:It should be just fine as long as the chip is not deep enough to expose the root. It's a baby tooth, it will fall out soon enough on it's own. But, if the root is exposed (symptoms: sensitivity, bleeding) consult a vet.
Reply:Dont panic. These milk teeth do fall aout and permant teeth will come in. Check the chipped tooth, is it rough or sharp to your touch. If it is then just bring the pup into your vets and they can simply smooth the tooth out so your pup doesnt rip or cut her mouth on it. If its a smooth chip then just watch her to make sure it doesn't cut her mouth OK.
Reply:Puppies lose their baby teeth just like kids, only in a few months instead of a few years. No problem here, as long as it doesn't cause her pain and she can still eat.
Reply:Baby teeth will fall out, she's fine UNLESS she seems in pain.

In which case take her to a vet - think if you had a chipped tooth that was throbbing.
Reply:i wouldn't worry about it....it will end up falling out anyway because its a baby tooth

What do you think the dentist will do to my teeth?

i have a sort fo canine tooth growing infront of my bottom tooth on the left near the front the tooth whats growing in front of it is sort of pointy it isnt growing right infront but its making the bottom one wonky any suggestions?

What do you think the dentist will do to my teeth?
Probably have his assistant X-ray it , come in after a 45 min to hour wait, say, "hum, ah ha" a couple times, and tell you to see the receptionist to schedule another appointment so he can charge your insurance even MORE money.
Reply:What's wonky!?!? He'll probably pull the tooth out
Reply:I don't have a clue about what you are talking about but since you said canine tooth then I think they might either pull it or file it down depending on where it is located.
Reply:Your going to get the pliers and drill stuck in your mouth.
Reply:He'll likely offer braces-type correction or extraction, if the teeth are bunched so that one missing tooth wouldn't be noticeable because of overlap of the area.
Reply:i would have pulled. because of over crowding. and it will look weird when u smile. i have a small mouth and had to have 8 teeth pulled wisdom teeth included. had to wear braces a couple of times. good luck :)
Reply:i think i had the same thing. your description is kind of confusing, but about two years ago, i had a canine tooth infront of the other ones up on my gums. i went to one orthodontist, and he recomended pulling the tooth. then we went to another orthodontist to make sure that was the right thing to do, and he actually just put braces on all my teeth. it only took about three months before all my teeth were in place, but i had to wear my braces for a total of two years.

im not sure if this helps. i hope it does.

but instead of going to your dentist, try visiting the orthodontist. he will know more about teeth and how they grow. he can also recomend braces too.

goodluck :]
Reply:As I read this... It kinda sounds like your fingers are in your mouth and your pointing, which brought the word wonky up .. thought it was funny.

Well, he may pull it, he may leave it alone depending on your age. Braces? Don't know what your other teeth look like, but the Dentist is the right Doc to go to, that's my best suggestion. But Go, don't chicken out ... Good, clean, pretty teeth are HOT!!!

Gap in my teeth w/ braces??

I am getting my braces off in exactly a week (well, that's what the ortho said). I have a gap between my canine tooth and the one in front of it. I do not wear elastics and I don't currently have a power chain... and the gap just started appearing a couple weeks ago... Will I still get my braces off? The gap is noticeable, but its not huge. Could the retainer fix it? Also, would pushing the two brackets together help?? I really want to get my braces off!

Thanks in advance

Gap in my teeth w/ braces??
I would recommend you put a call in to your Orthodontist before your next appointment, just to make sure that space is something he can or cannot work with. He may decide to put the power chains back on, but it is hard to know exactly what he might think. Some small movements can be done with retainers but I doubt he would want to have you start off that way. That space could become a problem with packing food in that area if you were to get the braces off and the space left "as is". Trying to push it closed wouldn't help, it would need the constant pressure of the power chain to keep it closed. Best of luck, hope it all works out for you
Reply:I'm sure they wouldn't take off your braces with a gap between your teeth. It doesn't take very long to close a gap, they just tighten those two a lot more. Does your ortho know about it? You don't want to have that after you get them off, because then there isn't much you can do about it afterward.
Reply:Yes. The retainers can take care of it, if worn and are adjusted as directed.
Reply:My son had the same thing happen

The ortho said it is there to give a tiny bit of shift room for the teeth.

My son no longer has a gap
Reply:OMG!! I have the same problem! i get my braces off on Tuesday, and I'm wondering the same thing as you. I had my braces for 2 yrs, and i'm psyched yet doubting I'll get them off now. I would say to bring it up before they take em off...that' what Ima do

My chihuahua's canine tooth is falling out!!!?

First, he is just about 6 months. We were playing tug-o-war with his toy. I played rough... way more than I should have. Next thing I know, he went all the way in the corner of the room, as if he was hurt. Then, he started licking his lips non-stop. I looked and see a bit of blood coming out. When I touched it, it seemed like it was loose at the root... its still in his mouth.. I don't know what to do... Please help!!!

I am going to call the vet tomorrow... Is he destroyed for life?

My chihuahua's canine tooth is falling out!!!?
Its OK!!! He's just loosing his puppy teeth. This will happen to all of is puppy teeth and then he will grow his adult teeth. Its normal for them to bleed, just like when kids loose their teeth.
Reply:he'll live. its just a tooth
Reply:Your pup will be just fine. He isn't destroyed for life. Like Children loose their teeth puppies also loose there teeth. They usually start to go through this at about 4-9 months. Your puppy is loosing his "milk teeth" and his permanent teeth will be growing in very soon after. This is a necessary process that your puppy is going through. But it won't hurt to take him to the vet just to have it checked out.

:)
Reply:puppy teeth.. or baby teeth as we usually say lol.. i wouldnt worry but if u want to get him check then the vet is a gud idea!
Reply:Don't panic, and don't call the vet, your puppy is fine!!

Just like kids, pups lose their baby teeth. Our puppy lost all his, and they all grew back, good as new, so you really have nothing to worry about.

You obviously love your puppy very much to get so worried! :)
Reply:GOODNESS! It's just a loose tooth! You remember loosing your teeth as a kid? Well, that's what's happening to him. It's natural for baby teeth to fall out and adult teeth to grow in, Just like humans. You didn't destroy him! Good heavens!

Nonetheless, your concern for your dog goes to show that you are a good owner.

Raise your dog like you would a kid: When he's bad, discipline him. When he's good, Reward him. When he's playful... Just play with him!

My daughters canine tooth took over the spot of her left lateral incisor, she's 2, what should I do about it?

Are you certain it is her incisor? Sometimes pedo laterals can be pointy when they first erupt. If it isn't the lateral, then this could indicate a seriosly narrow palate. There are things that can be done to expand it without surgery as long as this is done at a fairly early age. The best thing to do is take her to a Pedodontist, where they can obtain x-rays and make an assessmant from there.

good luck.

My Puppy's teeth?
yeah get her a bone... it will help to fall out and it will save you a lot of money if the vet doesn't have to pull it... so try it and see if it works

I have a painful canine tooth that won't come out?

It's still a baby tooth and it won't come out, but it is very loose. I've tried everything, eating an apple, grabbing on it with a tissue, and just pulling it with my fingers. What can I do to make it come out without killing myself? (Lol, slight exaggeration, but the pain is unbearable, so how to get it out with minimum pain?)

I have a painful canine tooth that won't come out?
constantly wiggle it and push it to its limit with your tounge, and tomorrow morning just pull with a paper towel. it wont hurt as much as you think
Reply:make an appointment with the dentist. treat the pain with advil or tylenol and ice.
Reply:Go to the dentist...but in the mean time take ibuprophen or some aspirin...something to releave the PAIN...i hate pain...
Reply:Grab it with a cold wet wash cloth (sorta numbing the pain)

and just keep twisting it to break away the roots.
Reply:drink cold water, then use plillers and remove it in one hard firm pull. Down and left and right and down again. twice will do it.

more cold water to rinse and then rest.
Reply:well put tons of ice around it (to make it somewhat numb)...take a tylonal 5 mins before and yank with vice grips.

um...or just be patient....
Reply:Take a teaspoon or 2 of salt and dissolve it in a coffee cup of very warm water. Swish it and then hold it on that area for like 5-10 minutes each time, then spit out. The salt water helps dull the pain normally, and sometimes will even help it fall out on it's own. Also take ibuprofen for pain, or plain ol' aspirin. Excedrin is also good for tooth pain, but just one or the other on the pills.
Reply:It hurts really bad, I have the same exact thing right now! (Except I just want mine to stay in so I don't have a gap.. Keek.)

But Orajel Gel helps a lot! Motrin never really worked for me, but try it out. Try massaging the gums above that, it could just be the tooth pushing down. If you're desperate to have it come out, get a dry dishtowel. A tissue doesn't have enough body, and becomes wet anyways.

Lift your upper lip, and let the tooth dry first. Then grab a dishtowel, and pinch your tooth with it. (Between your pointer and thumb.) This always worked when I was a child. Keep constant pressure on it. If pulling it out with a rag didn't work, then try biting it.

But the best thing you can do is keep that orajel on it. It's specifically made for cavities or sensitive nerves, but I'm guessing loose teeth will work just as well. Get the small tube if you don't have any already. It's a lifesaver.

Impacted Canine Tooth Exposure Anesthetic?

I am really nervous about needles. My oral surgeon has IV and Novacain anesthetics. How painful is the exposure. Should I use the general IV anesthetic or novacain.

Impacted Canine Tooth Exposure Anesthetic?
You will be given both local anesthetic and IV sedation by your oral surgeon. You really have nothing to worry about, this is a common procedure. It's also a painless procedure, since you will be asleep during the whole thing. I won't say it's completely painless after wards although most patients say they were only mildly sore. You will be given a prescription medication that will greatly reduce any pain you may have. Just be sure to use the warm salt water rinses and follow all instructions given by your OS.

Additional information: Most Dentist and OS will offer patients with anxiety an oral pre-medication, they may offer or you can request the use of N2O along with either the general anesthetic or local. With the general anesthetic you will be groggy for awhile after the procedure. With N20 and local you will be awake and conscious of your surroundings having a light headed or floating sensation through out the procedure. After completion and before you leave, you will be given oxygen to breathe for several minutes to return you to a normal state but the surgical area will remain numb for approximately one or two hours. Depending on how well you handle dental work being preformed should be the deciding factor as to which type of anesthesia to request. Either way your dentist will advise you, and will take excellent care of you, making sure that you have a pain free experience with this procedure. I hope I’ve been of some help in answering your question. Good luck with your pending procedure.

How long does it take for adult teeth to grow in?

Im about to loose a baby canine tooth and I was wondering how long it would take for my adult canine tooth to grow in because Im 12 and in middle school and dont wanna yank my tooth out until I know how long it will take to grow back in

I cracked my canine tooth?
Are you in pain? If not it can probably wait until the weekend is over, then call your dentist. They will probably take out what is left of the tooth. If you are in pain you need to call your dentist's emergency number to get the tooth treated ASAP. Meanwhile, take ibuprofen or tylenol to help with the discomfort.

I have an impacted canine tooth Surgery Cost? & Pain?

I am getting braces. I have a baby tooth in my mouth %26amp; the impacted adult tooth is above it in the gums. I have to go to an oral surgeon %26amp; have them cut into my gums %26amp; attach a gold chain to it to then attach to my braces. Anyone know the cost for such a procedure? %26amp; if you have done it yourself how was the pain?

I have an impacted canine tooth Surgery Cost? %26amp; Pain?
That sounds slightly strange, but of course i can't see the situation since you can't exactly post a picture. I would imagine the easier procedure would be to remove your baby tooth, let the adult settle slightly and then pull it inline with the other teeth slowly through your orthodontic treatments.
Reply:Hey that sounds exactly the same to what i have to do (i got my baby canine teeth pulled over a year and 3 months ago) and they still haven't came in so i'm going to have to get my gums cut open and attach the chain to my braces! Was it very painful? Report It

Reply:No, it wasn't painful at all. I had oral sedation so I was not asleep but I was sedated enough that I did not care what was going on. It has been 3 months since %26amp; the orthodontist said it is about to come down. Now I can see more %26amp; more of the tooth. Report It

I had a baby TOP canine tooth pulled out in 2005, the adult tooth is barely HALF way growing back....?

What could be causing it to grow back so slow? I didn't realize I still had a baby tooth til my dentist pointed it out. He pulled it and the adult tooth is only half way in and still going, but what could be taking it so long? Can braces pull it down?

I had a baby TOP canine tooth pulled out in 2005, the adult tooth is barely HALF way growing back....?
1st of all whats ur age? because permanent upper canines erupt by the age of 10 to 11 years(+/- 1 or 2 years). its good that if ur above this age, that the tooth was pulled out. if a milk(primary) tooth does not shed on its own then the underlying permanent tooth either tries to erupt in abnormal manner or it becomes lodged inside and takes time to erupt. in your case, more of a bone or soft tissue must be present between the tooth and the oral cavity. hence the tooth requires more effort to push its way to come into the mouth. your dentist would wait for sometime and will observe periodically if the tooth is erupting properly or not. if no change is seen from the current situation then using braces is the solution to bring the tooth in proper position.

hope this helps

regards
Reply:yes they can put an anchor on the tooth and attach it to braces to pull it down into place much quicker.
Reply:For the best answer ask your dentist.
Reply:i too had a top baby canine tooth (right side to be exact), but i don't remember if i pulled it out or it came out by itself, or if the dentist pulled it out. my permanent canine took a while to come out. before i got my braces, my canine was sort of on my gums and i had to pull my teeth (on each side, the ones after the canine on top so that there would be space for it). i didn't count how long it took my tooth to go into the socket.

today, my canine is still not in its socket and i've had braces for almost 2 months. i can see a little difference, but i guess it'll take a while and a couple of tightening sessions on my braces to finally get it in the socket.

so...since you are worried about your canine, you should ask your dentist if he could refer you to an orthodontist and see what the ortho says. if you're willing to wear braces or whatever is available, and if you have the money, then go for it.

Teeth sensitivity due to braces! to all those who have braces!?

i just got my braces 2 days ago. : whenever i bite down, my canine tooth on the upper left side touches the 2nd molar tooth on the lower left side, the canine tends to be sensitive. this never happened to me before i got braces...in return, i cant eat hard foods cause it really hurts...have u experienced this kind of sensitivity??

Teeth sensitivity due to braces! to all those who have braces!?
Totally normal, and yes had the same thing. Anyone who has had braces will have experienced the same thing. Tends to be very sensitive and painful for the first few days. Give it a few more days, it'll go away. In the mean time, try to stick to soft foods (or at least foods that require little or no chewing), keep hydrated (your mouth stands no chance if you are dehydrated), use the wax to help sores and dose up on painkillers.
Reply:took me like a week to eat hard food after my braces, i wouldnt worry, mine hurt for AGES, they are the torture technique of the 21st century
Reply:Had braces.

Your teeth will feel very sensitive. Especially if you had spacers put in for a week prior to the braces being put in. I got really sick the day I had my braces put on. It actually gave me a fever. The braces were so tight and hurt. My mouth was hurting for a few days. I was very sore. I couldnt eat anything but soft stuff like Mashed potatoes and soup.

My coworkers got braces like 3 mos ago. I warned her and she ended calling out the day she got her braces. It got her down too.

Summary: this is a normal experience.
Reply:Its actually probably a bracket that's hitting your tooth. Your ortho will move stuff around (causing other various problems) until most of your teeth have been filed down. Your teeth are going to be moving around a bunch, so just tough it out. Good luck

What can I do at home about my dog's canine baby tooth not coming out before his adult tooth came in?

My husband pointed out to me that our dog's adult canine had come in on one side and the baby tooth is still there and in perfect alignment with the adult tooth. It doesn't appear to be coming out at all, but it looks like it might grow into the new one. I don't have any money to take him to the vet for this and was wondering if there was a simple solution I could do at home to help him out. It doesn't seem to bother him, but it might later on. Can I just pull the baby tooth out without hurting my dog? Please, someone help. He is my best friend and I love him. Thanks!

As far you pulling you dogs teeth the answer has to be NO because that would be painful to the dog and it might set up an infection. I know you don't want to see him in pain or worse. I don't know what the Vet. would say but I would at least give him a call. Sorry that I am not more help.

Impacted canine?

Here is my question. I have an impacted canine tooth. the milk tooth fall out three years ago and I have the permanet tooth growing side ways. I went to see a dentis and the dentist said it can be corrected with an orthodontist help. Do you think isn't it late after three years.

Impacted canine?
You'd be amazed what orthodontists can do. As long as the the root isn't wrapped around your other teeth, then it's never too late.

I had a bad orthodontist while in my teens.

When I was in my late tweenties I ended up going to a new and better orthodontist who was able to "fix" a lot of the mistakes the first one made.

It took a while, but was worth it.

I no longer have jaw pain and headaches all the time from a mis-aligned bite. He was able to "lengthen" my teeth over time as well. One of my front teeth was completely sideways and he was a ble to turn it around to the front again.

Did it hurt? you bet! But it was worth every bit!
Reply:No, I had a canine tooth grow in sideways, and I have braces now! Go for the braces, you'll be so happy with the results!

What episode of Dexter's Lab featured a blue-colored villain with fang-like teeth?

He was a villain-type character with blue skin (I think) and I also remember him clad in blue clothing. He had a cape, I believe, and long-ish hair that went slightly past his shoulders. He also, like I said, had fang-like teeth (as in they were ALL jagged, not just the canine teeth).

Please, if someone knows what episode he's from, please please tell me.

Any help for swelling on the roof of my mouth behind my teeth?

Ok, I have always had a little bump behind my right canine tooth. Just a small one and never thought anything about it because my dentist never said anything. I have had it swell a bit before but last night it was tender and I pushed on it with my tongue, now the front part of my mouth, just behind my teeth is swollen?! Anyone know what might be going on?

Any help for swelling on the roof of my mouth behind my teeth?
Or, it could be what's called "rugae," which is a perfectly normal part of your anatomy. They get irritated with hard food sometimes.

But nobody here can tell you what it is without seeing it. Go to your dentist.

This reminds me of the time a mom and dad brought their 5 year old in to see me. He had an abscess on a molar. I looked in his mouth for about 0.8 seconds and said, "He has an abscess." The mom hit the dad and said, "Well, that was twenty bucks wasted." I was kind of shocked by her reaction and asked what she meant by that. She said, "Well genius doctor here bought a home medical book to try to figure out what that bump was. He decided that it was either leukemia or an abscessed tooth and then he figured it would be cheaper to see a dentist than go to the hospital. I told him to go to the dentist in the first place and I didn't need any damn book to tell me that."
Reply:Go to a dentist. It is a tumor. They are going to have to take out your teeth and part of your brain.

Duh. Go to a dentist.
Reply:your teeth might be rubbing against your gums somehow and irritating them making it swell up. maybe swishing with salt water will help reduce that or talking to your dentist
Reply:it could be an ulcer or you are heaty.. put Bongela (a gel for mouth ulcer) it will help to cool it.
Reply:It sounds like an abcess. Your dentist will give you antibiotics that will make it go away.

If you press up on it, and it's making a bitter taste in your mouth, I can guarantee that it's an infection. Even if it's not, though, it never hurts to go to your dentist.

If it's an infection, though, with antibiotics, it can still take up to two weeks to go away.

(I deal with bruxism, or grinding of the teeth, fairly often, and something like what you'redescribing has happened to me a couple of times)

But, seriously, time to see the dentist.
Reply:Please go see a dentist.

From the information provided it sounds like an acute exacerbation of a chronic abcess that must be attended to as soon as possible.

The abcess could originate from the canine tooth if not the adjacent teeth or from the connective tissues that surround those teeth.

The dental appointment COULD involve root canal treatment, so be mentally aware of this.
Reply:Did you eat something that was temperature hot??? It could have burned your palatine rugae, and it hurts like a mother!!!!

What are some whays i can sharpen my teeth?

my canine teeth ( that are on me )%26lt;not a dog%26gt;

What are some whays i can sharpen my teeth?
Although you can actually use a clean finger nail file you might want to consider having your dentist take a look. If you file too much of the tooth away you can end up irritating the nerve (which could end up with you needing a root canal) or you could end up much more cavity prone due to very thin enamel. My dentist will smooth people's teeth usually at no charge.

Hope that helps!

I accidentally broke one of my siberians puppy teeth. What do I do?

We were at the beach and he kept chewing on his leash. I yanked the leash and he suddenly didn't want to chew on the leash at all. He didn't yelp or anything. I didn't think too much about it until I got home. I checked and I had broke one of his canine teeth. The front right. Half of it is sticking out and it's very loose. What should I do? He seems okay. It doesn't look infected or anything. I feel so terrible.

I accidentally broke one of my siberians puppy teeth. What do I do?
If it's still connected but broken, it might be hurting him, and that might prevent him from eating. If he is eating and it's pretty loose, he might not be feeling it anymore, so it's probably okay.

I would call the vet and ask about it.

This is from an article: (this doesn't mention it being loose though):

"It is important to have your puppy's broken baby tooth extracted, as soon as possible, by a veterinarian that has training in dentistry. Because she has broken the baby tooth, infection will enter the tooth from the mouth and travel down the root. Infection at the root of the baby tooth may cause permanent damage to the adult tooth that is developing near the root of the baby tooth. Any broken tooth that bleeds is painful even though your puppy may not act that way. Do not wait to "see what happens". Waiting allows for more infection and more damage."

and another:

"A cracked or broken tooth can be painful if the nerve tissue is exposed; if it becomes infected, there's a danger the infection may spread through the bloodstream. If your puppy breaks a tooth, take him to a veterinarian right away."
Reply:it will probrably be ok, since it isnt an adult tooth...but u might want to call the vet just to check..
Reply:Just like humans, if it was a baby tooth an adult tooth will grow into it's place!
Reply:If he's 6 months or under, you might have just yanked loose a tooth he was about to lose anyway. Puppies lose their baby teeth and grow adult ones, like people do. People don't usually notice it, though. Since he doesn't seem in pain, this is probably what happened. Watch to see if a new one grows in over the next few days. If it doesn't, or you think you pulled out an adult tooth, take him to the vet.
Reply:It's very normal. Puppies lose their teeth teething, or even if you were to play with him with a rope toy a little too hard, it might do that. It's nothing to worry about. If there's still inside the mouth, I would let your vet take it out, just so you yourself don't hurt him. If you don't take him to the vet, I'm sure it will fall out by itself in time. Take him most definately if it looks sharp, he can't eat, or shows signs of pain.
Reply:It was probably loose and ready to go anyway. Dog's teeth are strong and you would have had to do more than that to pull it out if it weren't already loose.

Keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't get infected or anything, but if he isn't in pain, I wouldn't worry about it.
Reply:You have nothing to be worried about, their just his baby teeth.

How can I make my teeth sharper?

My canine teeth. I kinda want them more pointed. I've scratched the sides of them over and over, will that make them sharper? What else can I do?

How can I make my teeth sharper?
nothing really but by scratching them up like that you probably took all the enamel off.
Reply:Oww, that sounds painful. If you are serious about it, I guess you could file them--it will hurt, but should do the trick. That or go to the dentist and ask about it there.
Reply:The cutting edges are the hard enamel. If you scrape that off you will be left with the softer interior (dentin) and they definitely will become duller not sharper.
Reply:Listen now let's behave like humans. God made us all different. Inside out, everywhere. OK you want your canine teeth more pointed? Is that right? What for? Anyway . In the first place you should not have them more pointed like fangs and teeth of the carnivorous breed. Why??? Secondly you should never have done what you did. Scratching yourself on the sides of the teeth definitely will make them uneven and even expose nerve cells. You may have made them sharper but for what. Now if they were really blunt you should have gone to a dentist and talked to him and asked him about polishing them a bit. He would have done that at the right angle and the right place. Please, please, never do such a thing. Scratching your own teeth means having uneven finishing and can be harmful. I would say you see your dentist and tell him what you did ( be brave, admit your mistake ) and if he advises you, go ahead, otherwise ask him to polish them and refine them so that you don't have any problem later on. Incidentally, you know scratching yourself makes the teeth surface uneven leading to yeast and plaque accumulation and therefore problems. Don't bite anyone. lol

Another cat question, this time about his teeth?

So my cat looks like a mini Dracula his teeth are really sharp and his canine teeth stick out from his upper jaw and cover a tiny bit of his lower jaw.He looks like he has vampire fangs. Is this in any way normal?

Another cat question, this time about his teeth?
if they seem to long, you can go to the vet and ask. if the vet thinks there too long, you can get them clipped

same thing with rabbits
Reply:I would have a vet look at him. That doesn't sound normal and they might best be removed.

Cats don't need their teeth at all if they don't have to capture and kill prey for their food.
Reply:Cats canine teeth do stick out and cover the lower teeth in their jaws. In fact, while some cats sleep, you can see their teeth peeking out fron under their lips.

And contrary to other totally daft opions, cats DO need their teeth. Strangely enough, they need to chew and cats fed a natural diet, like mine, use their teeth top rip meat off bones quite successfully...cats don't need their teeth pfffft!
Reply:Cats can eat even dry food without any teeth, but what you describe seems quite normal to me. Consider that in the wild, what they chase after and bite after has to be held by the teeth, so the canines will be a bit longer than other teeth.

But you bring up a point that some never consider. Your vet should check your cat's teeth at each visit for any inflammations of the gum which can lead to serious problems. Cats get tartar build up on their teeth like humans can have.

I have gone through that process of expanding my upper jaw. I will not lie, IT SUCKS. Sometimes it feels really annoying and it is hard to sleep, but I got through it and it really helped with expanding my upper jaw. I just felt pressure on my nose when I did it. Also, do it at night so you won't notice the pressure throughout the day. You will be glad you did it later on in life when you have a perfect smile. Good luck!

How do dentists fill cavities inbetween your teeth that are visible?

I am worried that I have some cavities further back in my smile, but they are still visible. I am wondering if there is something that can be done that will look nice cosmetically. Not sure the technical names of the teeth, but there is one inbetween my canine tooth and the bicuspid behind it.

How do dentists fill cavities inbetween your teeth that are visible?
The dentist can place a Composite restoration, they will color match the filling material with your actual teeth color. After they reomve the decay the Dentist will place a Matrix band around your tooth this helps to close the space and hold the material while it is being light cured,After the light curing (Which hardens the material) the Dentist will remove the band an smooth and polish the filling. However If there is to much decay you may need to have a crown placed. This procedure envolves removing all the decay and then put a build-up in the tooth, the tooth is then prepped ( cut down ) and an impression will be taken of the prep, and then sent to a lab and a crown will be made to specifically fit your tooth, this usually takes 2-3 weeks to get the crown back, The Dentist will place a temporary crown to wear until the crown gets back from the Lab. The dentist will then put in the crown and check your bite and if you are happy with the color they cement it permanetly onto the prep. It should look exactly like a regular tooth.
Reply:you can ask the Dr to use enamel fillings
Reply:I have a filled cavity between my top two front teeth. First they drill out the cavity. Then they put a device around your tooth, a clamp like thing and they start filling your cleaned area. Its now white and you can still floss between them. Hope this helps. Did I mention they remove the clamp thingy.
Reply:Alot of what the dentist can do will depend on how much you want to spend.

Main way they fix teeth is with that grey or silver filling stuff.

Second way is to go with gold caps.

Third way is to go with Porcelain caps.

If enamel finishing is available I am not aware of it and I have been given several options like this one that you face .

As I said, alot of it depends on how much you can afford.
Reply:Well ,most of the times the fillings in the teeth which are visible, are done with a tooth coloured material (it's technically called Composite filling). Most of the times it looks really nice once it's done and finished properly. But one needs to take good care of his/her teeth afterwards,to not to let caries occur in the tooth again. Decay can progress under these fillings ,in case you happen not to take good care by brushing and flossing regularly.

I would really suggest you to go ahead and get one done ASAP to avoid root canals in those teeth with cavities.
Reply:Ask the dentist for white fillings. Metal fillings are harmful and very toxic. I worked as a dental assistant for a couple of years and they wouldn't let us throw it away in the trash but we were allowed to put into peoples mouths...figure that.

Good luck, almost anything can be done in dentistry, as long as you got the money. If you don't then expect the dentist to push you aside, sad but true.
Reply:Today I had to have decay in between 2 molars taken care of. The decay was below the gum line, so he took a tool called a matrix to push the gum down lower to get to all the decay, remove the discoloration, and use white composite, I hope dentists still aren't using the silver analgam. I also hads some decay in between some of my top front teeth. I was scared b/c they are right in the front, but as long as they use the white it is not noticeable.

He eats well, keeps his fur in good condition and is a happy cat, but they do poke out rather a bit over his lips. It's mainly his 2 canine teeth at the top, but the bottom ones also seem long. He's only a kitten, so might grow out of it. Would you take him to the vets?

Reply:take him to the vet for a check up, and then inconspicuously ask about it, lol.
Reply:you have a sabertooth alleycat lol
Reply:you can take it to the vet and get the teeth trimmed
Reply:My cat had a snaggle tooth-it stuck out over his bottom lip. It never caused him any problem. Your cat will probably grow into his teeth, but if not, I wouldn't schedule a vet visit unless it looks like it's causing him pain or preventing him from eating.
Reply:As long as he's healthy, he'll probably grow into them. Why not wait a few months and then, when he's bigger, take him to the vet.
Reply:Not at all. If his teeth are longer, that just means that he will always win cat fights
Reply:I think he'll grow out of it but just to be sure take him to the vet
Reply:He'll be fine. You see lots of young teenagers with oversize teeth so I reckon he'll grow in to them.
Reply:You should take him to the vet, maybe for a check up or something. But I don't think it is a big problem, still take him to the vet though.
Reply:I dont think taking him to the veterans administration would help.

You could consider the 187th Infantry Division stationed in Iraq - I've heard they have rescued many cats.
Reply:you need to get this sorted as if they don't join they wont get any smaller ! the vet will be able to just grind them down , better do it now than when you need to as hes having problems .
Reply:hi there, i really think that for your own peace of mind, call your vet for advice or pop him along for a check up thats the ONLY way you will really know for sure isn't it? that way the guessing games are over and you can relax. so i wish you luck, nice to see that you really care about your little cat. bye .
Reply:it does not matter how long they are really
Reply:I would wait and see. Kittens lose their baby teeth and grow adult ones; his next set may be normal.

There was a really friendly cat that used to hang around our house who had what we called saber-teeth and he had no problems with them. It was actually rather cute. As long as your kitten has no issues, there is no need to bother with expensive procedures.
Reply:My little catty is exactly the same. If it isn't hurting his gums then leave him be. My cat is 2 now and it has never caused a problem. It just make them look extra cutie ;)
Reply:You could go to the vet, but I think its more logical just to wait; he will probably grow enormous and they wont look so big then. I have one who looks like Draculas big brother (and he is black!!) and he eats everything he can find, so it doesnt seem to harm them.

Retainer causing gap between two front teeth. Is it permanent? Will the braces help close the gap later?

My 11 year old daughter got retainers about a month ago to create enough room in her mouth for canine teeth to come out properly. Either retainer or go to surgery. We chose the former. Unfortunately wearing retainger is also creating gap between her two font teeth and she is getting a bit upset about this. Is it going to be permanent? Will the braces help close the gap?

Retainer causing gap between two front teeth. Is it permanent? Will the braces help close the gap later?
i had this exact problem about 2 years ago. Its completely temporary, the braces quickly fix the problem. The retainer is literally splitting her mouth apart making it wider, and the space from this immediate space is shown between the two front teeth. The canine teeth with use that space as soon as the brackets are attached. However, usually once the brackets are removed there is a retainer, if the space begins to come back, the process is reversing itself, you should now have some cause for concern. In cases where retainers are used to make room for teeth, its best to have a perminant retainer when the braces are finally removed, as perminant retainers(including the upper) are the best at keeping gaps closed. its best to plan for the future, believe me i did it the hard way. Hope that helps
Reply:The retainer is just making place for the canine teeth. Onc she will have her braces, the braces will close the gap.
Reply:the retainer is just holding the teeth so the canine teeth have room, braces will close the gap

Are dog's teeth supposed to fall out?

My dog is 7 months old.

They are the two "Canine" teeth.

Well they are the two long ones...One on the left and the other on the right. Both of them fell out recently...Is there something wrong?

Are dog's teeth supposed to fall out?
No, nothing is wrong! Puppies loose their small teeth, just as small children do. It's perfectly normal and healthy for your dog to do this.
Reply:Dogs lose their baby teeth just like people. If you are concerned that they were permanent teeth, take her to the vet.
Reply:yes it is like us
Reply:yes dog's teeth are supposed to fall in that age
Reply:could just be losing his puppy teeth. My dog did the same thing and grew his adult ones in just perfectly fine. My roommates dog a while back did the same thing. I think it's perfectly normal.
Reply:Puppies like humans do have baby teeth which they can loose. If his overall teeth and mouth are healthy, I wouldn't worry about it
Reply:no not at all just like humans dogs lose their "baby teeth" and "adult teeth" grow in. its perfectly normal for puppies.
Reply:That's normal.

Dogs and cats have baby teeth that they lose, same as humans. By this age it won't be long before your dog has his full set of adult teeth. You don't always find the lost teeth - I think they swallow a lot of them.

Chalice
Reply:Nope. That fine. She is about the right age to loose her puppy teeth and get her adult teeth. Just give her lots of chew toys to keep her from chewing up anything expensive while she is teething!! lol
Reply:Just like everyone said, no nothing is wrong. They lose their baby teeth just like people.

One thing I did want to add, they usually do swallow them, so don't worry about that.
Reply:Your puppy will lose its baby teeth and then adult teeth will grow in.
Reply:just like a child, a pup will lose their teeth. I remember my rottie would be playing with something and i would hear the 'tink' sound on the kitchen tile and i would find a tooth.
Reply:Puppies lose "baby teeth" just like humans, and others grow in. Teething is irritating to puppies, too. Take a clean washcloth, wet it, twist it, and put it in the freezer. When your puppy chews on it, the cold will help ease irritated gums.
Reply:No puppies lose their teeth just like babies. Then their adult teeth come in . So dont worry that is very normal

Has anyone with "Dracula's teeth" fixed them, in a not too long way?

I have the canine teeth which are exposed, most probably becouse of the fact that my mouth is too small to contain the number of teeth it's got.

Is there a way to solve this problem, and if someone did it, how?

Has anyone with "Dracula's teeth" fixed them, in a not too long way?
I have the same thing. My mouth is small as well. They will pull ur wisdom or last molars from the back then some braces for the best look. As far as filing is concerned I never heard of that but I suppose thats for people whos mouths arent real small because filing isnt gonna give ur mouth more room to move the canine teeth in a better position. I think after the braces come off THEN get some filing done that would make it look like u dont even have dracula's teeth im sure. Mine arent so bad I thought abt braces talked to a dentist abt it but as I got older I thought naw thats who I am its my trade mark its not ugly or horrible. Look at the singer Jewel 's teeth and shes beautiful. :)
Reply:i filed it with a nail filer myself.
Reply:you can go to the dentist and get them filed,

i had that done before i got my braces
Reply:I think they do remove them and replace with implants... but... do you need this? I think it looks good.
Reply:I suggest going to an orthodontist who deals with clear retainers which gently more the teeth. My daughter had a problem and used retainers to move and beautify her teeth. She now has a beautiful smile without having to put on braces for years. Give it a try. The dentist said she inherited my small mouth and her father larger teeth, but with retainers he was able to move her teeth around without pulling any of them and they all fit just fine. I wish you equally good fortune.
Reply:I like my Dracula teeth.

Can i make my teeth bigger?

i am 16 and ive had braces off since i was 14. however, my two canine teeth are very small...almost like my baby teeth. is there an dental procedure ot cosmetic procedure that can make them bigger. they really make my smile look stupid. any suggestions?

Can i make my teeth bigger?
There are two previous answers that are correct, or could be correct depending on your set of circumstances. You can have you "gums" cut away. The term would be gingivectomy. I would go to a periodontist for a consultation. When you smile, if you see a large amount of your gingiva then you are probably a good candidate for this. The veneers can be used to improve the looks of your teeth, however, if you have a large amount of gingiva and you add veneers to lengthen your teeth, you will just end up looking like you have a horses mouth. If that was the case, I would hope no dentist would recommend doing that to you. I thought I should make you aware of it though, just in case. Also, if you already have a good shape to your teeth, veneers may not improve them, sometimes they end up looking like a bunch of white chick-lets in a row. In my opinion there is nothing more beautiful than a natural healthy, functional set of teeth. Ultimately, you have to be responsible for your body (including mouth) so be sure to get the facts, you will need a professional to look inside your mouth and see.
Reply:Yes it's possible

Reply:Many people including celebrities have dental veneers to change their teeth's appearance.
Reply:Speakly solely from my crotch, getting your 'teeth bigger' is not a good thing
Reply:Yes, I think so. You can get caps on your teeth. Make sure not to go overboard though...
Reply:i don't think u can make ur teeth bigger.
Reply:Prosthetics and dental caps can enlarge teeth.

What can I use to keep fake vamp teeth in?

I have a pair of those fake vampire teeth, the kind that you only stick on your canine teeth, and they are from last year and I'm out of the putty that you use to keep them in. I already looked at every store that would possibly have more putty or teeth thats like within 10 miles of my house. Does anyone know any household substances that could keep the teeth in firmly?

What can I use to keep fake vamp teeth in?
Use denture adhesive. Carry the tube with you because you may need to re-adhere them.
Reply:What about that denture cream people with false teeth use? That should work?

I have natural vamp fangs!
Reply:chewing gum?

you might be able to find a recipe for putty online using household items that could work.
Reply:I work at a Halloween store, and one of our customers said he used denture cream like what people use to keep their dentures in. He said it worked well to keep vampire teeth on.
Reply:super glue or false teeth adhesive like dentafit pr small bits of bubble/chewing gum
Reply:Does anyone in your home use poli dent or something like that?Otherwise, good luck.
Reply:I know this might seem gross, how about some chewing gum? It's worth a try. Especially if you can find the cheap kind that loses flavor fast and sticks to your teeth after chewing it for a bit.
Reply:Retainer case
Reply:Gorilla glue
Reply:fixodent is really good,or poly grip,it works a wonder

Can anyone give me advice about my pup's teeth?

Ok first of all yes he will be going to the vet. But I would like some insight from others first to see if perhaps I am just being paranoid about the whole thing. I got him from a friend not sure how old he was or is but he is around 4-5 months approx from what I can tell of his development. Now I check out his mouth as much as I can and I noticed one of his front canine teeth looked funny, it looked funny like smaller or more blunt than the other one. I kept an eye on it and noticed it was also loose.. none of his other teeth looked like this or were as loose as that one. Then a few days later it had fallen out, but I see no sign of his permanent tooth erupting yet in that space. It is not bleeding or bothering him as far as I can tell but in all the other dogs I have had when the baby teeth fell out you could already see the new one coming through.. my pup just has a small opening where the tooth was. Is this normal or should I be more concerned than I already am?

Can anyone give me advice about my pup's teeth?
Good for you that he's going to the vet. I'm glad to see that you're concerned. I wouldn't worry about it though. Sounds very normal. Have the vet take a look. Puppies lose teeth in spurts and the adult ones come in at various times.
Reply:Sometimes the adult tooth is following right in behind the puppy tooth, sometimes it takes a day or two to show up.. I wouldn't get all bent out of shape about it yet...
Reply:Its normal. Puppies lose their teeth. My puppy is 6 months old. I haven't found any of her teeth yet. Don't worry.
Reply:Adult teeth start to erupt within a few days of losing a tooth, and you'll notice your puppy has started a reign of terror, mouthing everything, chewing like there's no tomorrow.
Reply:Try brushing and flossing his teeth like you would do yours then if that doesnt work take it to a vet.
