okay so my baby boy got his first tooth a little after he turned 6 months at the bottom in the middle...NORMAL. then the other one came in 2 weeks later...okay so now he has his 2 bottom teeth. Now this is where it gets strange. instead of his front top teeth coming in first he gets his canines in!(atleast i think its hard to tell how many teeth can fit betwewn them) at first they just poked through a bit and i was like okay that will give his other teeth time to come in. well they are pretty much grown in and no other teeth! LOL i call him a vampire. i know its okay for his teeth not to come in a perfect order... i was just wondering if anyone elses baby has gone through something similar...oh and he is 8 1/2 months and the top teeth have been in for like a month with no new teeth poking through yet.

Our daughter's teeth came in out of order also...
She got her top two
then she got her bottom two
the same day her outside top two popped in
she only has 6 atm, (10 months) but it looks like her canines will be popping through soon.. before her outside bottom two.

Reply:The same thing happened with my daughter. She got her canines first too and she did look like a little vampire. She is 21 months now and her other teeth came in just fine.
Reply:dont worry about it LOL BOTH of my nephews had their teeth come in the EXACT same way when they were infants and my oldest son who is now 9 had his side teeth on both his bottom and top come in first before his front teeth and we actually took him to the dentist cause i didnt know what to think of it and i was told this happens alot more than people know! and its pretty common and theres nothing wrong with it, a babys mouth can adjust to new teeth coming through and there is always room for them to come in right where they are suppost to. Both of my nephews and my son have the straightest teeth ever!!!

Reply:My sons top middle teeth came in almost the day he was born. Looked like Bugs Bunny till he was almost a year old. My daughter had no teeth at all till she was eight months. I got home from work and after a few hours of her crying and running a high temp we took her to the emergency room. Test after test showed nothing till an older nurse walked in. She put on a glove, stuck it in our daughters mouth said "be right back", came back with a bottle of stuff. Had my wife apply some of the contents to my daughters gums and the crying stopped. ALL her teeth were coming in at one time. The nurse was a mother of 13 and had the same problem with two of hers.

Teeth to get pulled?? help?
ok so i have like 6 baby teeth and im 14 :/
i hate it.. but anyways.
im getting "shark teeth" with 2 of my teeth..
one is a molar and its pushed the baby one completly on its side pointing towards the inside of my mouth, but i cant get it out..
and the other is my right canine and the baby one isnt very loose but the adult one is kinda big...
i really want to get my braces on as soon as possible so i can get them off fast. i dont want them in my senior pictures and i dont know how long ill have to have my braces on... im in 9th grade.
so please give me a way to get my teeth out. the loose and not the loose.. but mainly the "shark" ones.
please a way besides the dentist if you can, thats going to be very expensive and the braces are already going to cost a bunch..

You have to go to a dentist. The pain from pulling them by yourself could be enough to make you faint, plus you could get an infection and end up dying from it. Also, if you damage the bone in your jaw by trying to pull them yourself, you could end up disfigured and your teeth would look even worse. For gosh sakes go to the dentist. This isn't something you can do yourself girlfriend. TALK TO YOUR PARENTS!!!
Reply:Well if they aren't loosening up on their own and coming out, you *may* need the dentist to remove them. If you go in for cleanings, perhaps at the next appointment you can talk to them about it and ask if they have any suggestions, or find out at that time if it would need to be done by them.
I've had all four wisdom teeth out, the baby teeth, since they don't have the deep roots that adult teeth have, probably shouldn't be difficult at all in comparison.

Teeth Surgery Help Please!?
What is it called when some of your teeth are horizontal and won't come in without surgery? I have that on my 2 top pointy teeth, and have to have surgery to bring them down and stuff. I was just wondering if anyone has had this procedure done and could talk to me about it. I already had one surgery for extractions [9, including 3 adult teeth] and am scared to have one more. I will be asleep in the hosipital for this one[ bad expierance last time] and was just wondering what i should expect. Any answers helpful!! Thank You!!

The part that bothered me was when I would go to the orthodontist and he had to tighten the wire connected to the bracket to pull my tooth down and turn it vertical little by little. It didn't hurt much more than having my braces tightened so you should be used to that. The actual horrible part was when the ortho assistant removed the bracket when the tooth was all the way out. The jerk didn't numb anything and just ripped it out like he was pulling off a friggin' band aid! I don't see why they can't do two different teeth at the same time, I guess it depends on the dental surgeon. I wish you the best of luck!!

How long until your preemie started cuting teeth?
My daughter was born at 35 weeks gestation and she is almost 4 months old and she is already cutting teeth. The unusual part is that it is an upper right canine and babies don't usually get those until 21 months old or so. Has anyone else had this happen? She is normal all but her feeding tube no facial disfigurement. No other teeth. AND yes this one can be seen popping through the gums.

Has it actually pierced the skin? I would talk to your specialist about it. I haven't heard of that happening before and I spent a lot of time around premature babies.

his tooth is on the bottom, not one of the very front two, the one right to the left of that.
.. all babies are different, maybe the gums in that location were softer than the rest %26amp; it broke through first, i dont figure genetics or anything have to do with it? though im not for sure. bring it up next time youre at the doctor!

I am getting two crowns made due to having a root canal but I have a small gap between the canine and?
bicuspid. the first premolar and the 2nd one are the ones that need crowns. do you think that they will make the teeth bigger to where it closes the gap between the canine and 1st premolar? thank you

Be sure to tell your dentist before he prepares the tooth so adjustments can be made to accommodate the widening of the crown, he may wish to prep the tooth differently to accommodate the increased mesial size. He may already be planning to close the gap, if it was the cause of the present root canal. Any "gaps" that cause a potential food packing area or tissue irritant due to food being caught need extra care with brushing, using a proxy brush and flossing. In most cases these teeth should be considered for a crown early to close the area before they cause a problem.
Some patients are partial to their "gaps" and want to keep them; they are usually the front centrals though. I’m sure you aren’t one of them. Hope I've been of some help and good luck with your pending procedure.

i have braces..and i havent gone to the ortho for a weeek. they have been fine until yesterdayy...and they r two teeth i use for eatting!! my canines i thinkk...or one of them iss. and im sucking on a cracker! thats how much it hurts. i dont no whats causing it and i need it to go away!! it hurts so muchh. what is it?

When I used to wear braces, my teeth got loose and anything that touched my mouth hurt (including water). Since I could not bear the pain, I went back to the dentist and told him to loose them up.
